The Lubbock Apartment Association's (LAA)
goal is to provide educational, legislative and support services for the
rental housing industry to increase the member's effectiveness and
profitability. To accomplish this goal we
strive to offer educational opportunities to our
membership. Throughout the year, we make available
many educational seminars, classes, and speakers
for apartment personnel. These classes are designed
to help businesses operate more effectively and
strengthen our industry.
As
an affiliate with National Apartment Association
the LAA is able to offer designation classes. Education
programs and designations of the National Apartment
Association are the premier offerings for multi-family
housing professionals. NAA’s professional
designations are a recognized and respected mark
of excellence throughout the industry. Each course
and program has been carefully crafted and tailored
to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s
multi-family housing professional.
National
Apartment Leasing Professional, NALP
The NALP curriculum is focused on the needs of
the property leasing consultant and the contribution
this professional makes to a successful property.
In class, you will gain a new understanding of
the many roles you serve to support the management
function at your property. At the same time, you
will have a new opportunity to share your experiences
with other dedicated peers, establishing valuable
contacts for the future and increasing your own
experience level.

The CAM curriculum is designed to maximize the
experience of the on-site professional and clear
the path for growth and recognition. In class,
you will gain a new understanding of the challenges
you frequently face. The programs are ideal for
leasing professionals, assistant managers preparing
for a promotion, new on-site managers or managers
who want a comprehensive refresher course.

Apartment Portfolio Supervisor, CAPS
The CAPS program is an in-depth review of property
management principles and techniques, as used
by the professional supervisor. The course helps
the professional make the connection between knowledge
and on the job performance. The designation provides
professional credibility and industry recognition.

Apartment Maintenance Technicians, CAMT
Maintenance
expenses are the single largest controllable
element in any operating budget. This course is
designed as an introduction for new maintenance
professionals or as a refresher for the veteran
employee, to give these professionals the
knowledge and tools necessary to run an
effective maintenance program.

Owners Course, ROC
Like any business owner, you are focused on your

gives you the competitive edge. NAA has developed
the ROC to provide the fundamentals of property
management and the skills needed for success.

Apartment Supplier, CAS
Venders are important liaisons to the multi-family
housing industry. The CAS course is designed as
an opportunity for suppliers to hear the everyday
challenges faced by the apartment management customer
and in turn, increase their sales ability. The
course is ideal for new salespeople, as well as
veterans of the industry.
