The Lubbock Apartment Association strives for all of its members to become involved. Each member has the opportunity to become active through serving on a committee. The volunteers and committees directly impact and influence the direction of the association. Being active allows members to get acquainted with others in the industry and enhance their business opportunities. There are also many leadership opportunities in the association. These include committee chairpersons, the Board of Directors, and executive committee members.

By being involved in your Association, you help set the tone for the future. What does serving mean? A little work, a lot of fun, and a great chance to make a difference. You will have the chance to network and meet other people in the industry, as well as the opportunity to "be on the inside" and learn more about the rental housing industry. Committees are open to owners, managers, associate members, and their employees.

We need you more than ever! If you participate and get involved, your committee's efforts will be successful and you will make a difference! Let us know what committee(s) interest you or the hours you can devote, and we can help find the committee that’s right for you. For more information, please contact the LAA office at 794-2037.

EDUCATION: Plans educational seminars and NAA-designated programs to meet the needs of all members.

MEMBERSHIP: Promotes membership development and conducts membership drives.

GOLF TOURNAMENT: Plans and organizes the annual golf tournament & casino night.

TELEPHONE/HOSPITALITY: Contacts members to remind them about up-coming events and encourages their attendance and participation.

TRADE SHOW: Plans and organizes the annual Trade Show. This committee begins its work months in advance.

COMMUNITY SERVICE: Recommends and implements community service projects.

HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE: Plans and organizes the Annual Holiday Food Drive, which benefits South Plains Food Bank.

INSTALLATION AND AWARDS BANQUET: Plans and organizes the banquet and solicits donations.

RETENTION: Contacts members prior to renewal date. Promotes membership retention and updates membership retention plan.

IROC: The Independent Rental Owners Council is a group dedicated to the needs of small property owners.

PRODUCT/SERVICE COUNCIL: Expand your business by taking part in the product/service council. Product/Service members network and share business leads which will increase your business.
